If you experience any crashes, freezes, or other errors while launching the game, please follow the steps listed below.

[Potential errors]

• Unresponsive errors
• Error Code 80: "Game Failed to Start"
• Unable to start game (missing executable) errors
• Failure to launch after displaying the "Preparing to Launch" message
• Failed to initialize Steam errors

[Fixes]

1. Verify game file integrity

• • Go to your Steam Library → Right-click the game → Go to Properties → Go to Installed Files → Select [Verify integrity of game files].

2. Check Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package version

• • Delete the preexisting Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package version and install the latest version.

3. Update your graphics driver

• • Install the latest driver for your graphics card and relaunch the game.
    • NVIDIA: Download graphics driver
    • AMD: Download graphics driver

4. Run Steam as administrator

• • Right-click the Steam icon → Click [Run as administrator].

5. Disable non-essential software

• • Running software which interferes with Steam may prevent the game from properly launching.
  • Disable Discord, NVIDIA GeForce Experience, and any other background applications that generate overlays or have high memory usage.

6. Clear download cache

• • Go to Steam → Open Settings → Open Download → Click [Clear Download Cache] and sign in to your account.
